All of our livers need a little help once in awhile. From indulging a bit too much in your favorite (and not-so-good-for-you) foods and drinks to just needing a simple liver detox formula once in awhile, Grandhealth® can help you out. Our Hepaton-S formula provides classic liver and gall bladder supporting herbs that assist the body in one of the most important detoxification pathways. The liver is responsible for filtering the blood and either sends nutrients back into the blood to other organs, or removes toxins, and sends them into the intestine via the gall bladder and out of the body where they belong.
The liver is also responsible for hormone balance, blood sugar management, cholesterol levels and nutrient storage so keeping this organ happy is very important. The gallbladder stores and releases bile (made in the liver) into the intestines to help break down fats that we have consumed and also helps, as mentioned above, in removing toxins that the liver has sent to be removed from the body.
In addition to the liver and gall bladder herbs that include Milk Thistle, Dandelion and Artichoke, we have also included Choline and Inositol which also help to remove toxins from the liver, emulsify fats and supports healthy cholesterol levels. All in all, this formula will help make your liver shine, just as long you keep the Chardonnay to a minimum.
